I dress age appropriate, but not mother appropriate.

I am 21 and have a 6 month old. I dress normally for a 21 year old, I did not know that had to change just because I had a child... Hmm.

Did you change everything about you when you became a mother? The only thing about me that is still me is my style...

I was older when I had my kids, so I already dressed like a mother.  LOL

No. I don't think there is a way for mothers to dress like. We're different.

Lol, well Iguess there is flaw in my logic. I went shopping with MIL and SIL today at the new Marshall's and bought some cute summer clothes and they just couldn't believe I'm still dressing like a "teenager" -_-

I was older too - but I never dressed like "mom."  I always kept my own style (helped that I worked full time in a professional setting).  Even after staying home, I STILL dressed nice.

Now I'm 57, and many would say I don't dress my "age" - but I still look damn good, and work to keep it that way.

I agree, as long as I am not wearing a pretty woman get up, I don't see the issue with short that are above my knee and tanks tops.

I didn't have my kids until my 30's and I have always dressed appropriately for my age except when I was a rebellious teenager. The only difference being a mom is I spend less time on my makeup and I don't wear a bra unless I am going out since I am breastfeeding and it's too much hassle to wear one at home.

I wasn't aware that there's a "dress code" once you become a mom

Of all the styles out there, I'm pretty sure "mother" isn't one of them.

I dress to whats comfortable and whats cute.

I do have more "adult" or "professional" clothing in my wardrobe, but for the most part, my wardrobe consists of jeans and character/graphic tshirts.

I'm 27, btw.
