Yes. He actually asked me about it before we got married because his ex told him she would keep her own name when she got married. I'm old fashioned like that I believe a wife should take her husband's name, plus it made him happy. :-)

It was important to me that we both have the same name, but in the end he took mine instead of me taking his.. we're non-traditional I guess.

Sure did. He has given up so much to be with us. My last name was the least of what I could give up!

I don't know why the whole process of changing it freaked me out. Going to ss and dmv and the court house etc I panicked at the thought of those long lines. Lol

l took his but since my maiden name can also be a boy's or girl's name, we plan to use it for our next child.
