Went to SeaWorld this weekend....

Went to SeaWorld this weekend and had a blast. I just don't get all the hate over a one sided documentary. They have rescued so many animals and do so much research. Do you and your family still love SeaWorld despite Blackfish?

I've never seen blackfish. I remember going to sea world when i was 16. It was so clean and nice. I loved it.

Why? Maybe I live under a rock but I haven't heard anything bad except orcas killing trainers.... Which I think is a risk they need to be willing to take.....

No. After seeing blackfish I don't think I'll even go to a zoo again. I had no idea those animals were captured and not rescued. Also I had no ideas the trainers were not highly educated marine life exports.

I went once as a kid but I'd never go back. Those animals don't belong there.

I worked for a short time as a trainer for a different animal themed park and knew of the abuses long before blackfish. It should be fairly obvious to anyone that a large animal can't live happily in a small, unstimulating concrete container for years at a time.

The animals are an asset. They don't care about the animal only the investment they've made in the animal and the revenue they can get out of the animal.
