I feel like I'm in a rut with my groceries. I know my kids aren't getting a good variety. what do your lists look like? *now that we're seeing some awesome lists, what are the recipes that go with some of the items?

Organic Farmer's Market:

Eggs, chickens, milk, cream, butter, strawberries, blackberries, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrots, onions, garlic, spinach, red peppers, green beans, tomatoes, chard, rosemary, thyme, basil, Italian parsley, cilantro, ginger, turmeric, tangerines, limes, passion fruit, pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, coffee, cacao, goat cheese, yogurt, fresh coconuts for coconut water.

Grocery store:

Blueberry jam, bananas, rice, beer, tea, mustard, dog food.

I get other things, from other sources, but that's pretty much what I get every week.

How do I go about finding farmers markets? I would love to start buying organic fruits and veggies.

This is a good idea, breaking it into sections. I just write what comes to mind, then I end up only covering one or two food groups.

I used to go buy groceries without writing it down and came home to no good meals. I had to start writing it down and I now plan my meals so this helps not overspend. I printed out a blank sheet with each food group and put it on the fridge so if my hunny sees were out he can write it down too! :) it helps a bunch.

honey
lemon
Worcheshire sauce
beef broth x2
onion
milk
bread

DH and I are doing our real shopping on Friday, but we had a busy weekend and I needed to grab some essentials.
