From eating peanut butter crackers in public or packing a peanut butter sandwich for lunch when we go to the park. I will follow the rules of the school if it is peanut free but anywhere else, I'll eat what I want and so will my kids.

As you should. They have to learn how to handle their allergy eventually. The burden of learning to deal with their allergy lays with them and their immediate family.

Same here.... except I won't pack a lunch for my kid. I prefer they eat from the school's hot lunch menu. (my taxes already pay for it)

The whole allergy thing has come full circle for me - I cannot control what others eat or how they will react.  So instead I teach my kids how to keep themselves as safe as possible.

My school doesn't give free lunches.  So when I don't pack my kids lunch, they have to buy it.
