If you invited someone out to dinner and they first order an appetizer ..then the most expensive meal on the menu and ordering non stop alcoholic beverages . Should you force them to chip in ?

If I invited them to dinner with the intention of paying I would just pay, but not invite them again.

If you can't afford to treat them to dinner, don't invite them.

No, if you invite them to dinner and are willing to pay then you pay, if you can't afford it don't invite them out.

If you invited them and said you would pay I think you are stuck, but I would tell them that I offered dinner, not drinks, and have them pay for their own drinks at least.

If you invite someone out to dinner with the intention of paying I don't think it matters what they order.  If you invite someone out to dinner and everyone understands that they are paying for themselves then they can pay for what they order. I don't think you can decide to not pay for someones meal based on what they ordered.
