I want him to let the nanny go

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a couple years and we are discussing marriage and moving in together. The problem is the nanny he and his ex wife have. They have had this nanny for 10 years and now that both children are in school I think its time for them to let her go and for the kids to go to a daycare. I don't believe in nannies because so many turn out to be abusive plus I don't want someone in my house when I'm not here. I called my kids daycare and they have openings for his kids so how do I bring it up? How do I tell him my kids and I can't move in until he gets rid of the nanny?

If they're your kids and not his you enroll them where you want them to go.

You ought to do him and his kids a favor and get out of their lives.  Controlling much?

Not your kids not your decision. Sounds like the kids also love the nanny and it's cruel to split a child from someone they have grown to love. I'd personally tell you to screw off if you tried to get me to agree to that.

If she's been the nanny for 10 years, why do the kids need daycare?

This one is so easy. If they are his kids then you have zero say in the matter. Zero.

This sounds like a story on a day time soap opera...not buying it.
