How can I get him to sign a prenup?

Im getting married this spring. My fiancé is refusing to sign a PN. I own my home, 5 cottage homes and my wood working business. Id like to keep my current assests seperate from our marriage, but I have no problem using the money they earn for our household. My fiancé only has his car and a little in 401k. My total is a little over 275k and his is only 35k..... so you can see why I want to keep it separate. I worked hard and spent a lot of time away from my son and missed out on so much of his childhood to build a future for him. Im worried that it will all be for nothing if we split. Anything we buy and growth in my business will be shared in a split, but I really want to keep what I'm going in with. How can I get him to agree to this?

If he won't sign you don't marry him if it is that important to you. The end.

Half of all marriages do, so its more likely than not.

He either agrees or he doesn't. It will then be up to you to decide if you still want to proceed with the marriage. No good will come from you trying to force his hand in this matter.

I offered to sign one when I married dh. He has a trust fund and I was a single mother of 4 on welfare because of an abusive ex. He declined but I would have gladly signed it. I love him and wanted to marry him not his money. If you want one get it if he refuses to sign that's a big red flag IMO.

separate property and a prenup are two different things.  some things will stay separate property whether you have a prenup or not.   If you have so much money, get a lawyer to sit down & explain it to him.  They specialize in that kind of thing, resistant spouses.

Why are you getting married if you think you will be a failure?

if he wont sign, no marriage. simple. If he can't respect your wishes then he doesnt need to marry you.
