DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT FOR ONE SECOND THINK OR AGREE WITH THE TITLE OF MY POST!!!

I just saw a woman in another post tell a sahm that she basically has to be a doormat for her dh and not stand up for herself because she doesn't pay the bills. He can disregard her feelings, but she can't disregard his because he pays the bills! I am not even a sahm and I call bs on that!! No ONE has the right to treat another like a doormat and no one has to accept being treated like a doormat!

While I agree with you, I understand the SAHM's thinking that she has to accept being treated like a doormat.  It's not so easy to leave when you have young children and no way to support yourself.

That woman sounds as if she's justifying the way her own dh treats her.    Sad.

Sounds like the woman from the other post has some issues with bitterness and/or jealousy. Either that or her views about what constitutes value and family contributions revolves solely around money. I find that kind of attitude incredibly sad and ignorant.

I agree. I am a SAHM, and my husband completely respects me.

That's insane and probably just another miserable woman justifying herself being in an abusive relationship.

Oh wow, no. I'm still a person and I would never be anyone's doormat.
