To be racist?

My dad tried to feed hatred towards african americans & mexicans to my brothers & i. But we fought it, we knew in our hearts that this wasnt right. That all people are equal & its not fair to hate someone just because of their skin color.

So, were you raised this way?
How did you turn out?
Would you teach your kids to hate someone because they arent the same color as you?

I personally think its sad that a parent would try to teach an innocent child something as bad as hate so young.

Nope.

We hail from the south, unfortunately had kkk members in our distant family but my mom taught us different, then I taught my grandma different.

No. I spent a good portion of my childhood and teen years in African and Asian countries. I would have been beheaded.

Yes. I eventually realized it was wrong and began changing my thought processes.

No. But my dad kind of was. Until I married a native American.

My parents didn't raise me that way. I grew up in a very diverse part of the city. I did have a few family members that didn't/don't like Caucasians, African Americans, or anyone not of Latin roots. I stayed away from them & still do.

I was, but didn't know it until I became an adult.

No, I wasn't. I was always told it didn't matter. If I was I would have never had any friends, a good majority of my female friends are not the same race as me.
