We invited 26 people to my dd 4 birthday party. We had it at Old Mcdonalds Farm so it was $208 for us to pay for everyone to get in to celebrate with us. We supplied food, drinks and a day of fun for their little ones for free. Nobody, and I mean nobody, except me & dh bought her a gift. I invited 2 different people who I knew wouldn't be able to get her anything so that's not a biggie. I don't want to sound greedy or anything but I feel like they just used us to get a free trip and day of fun for their kids. I feel like they could have at least told me before hand they couldn't/wouldn't be bringing anything. Needless to say none of them will invited to anything we do from now on.

Wow. What kind of person would think to do this? That is shitty.

I hope your dd had a good time anyway.

I think it's so rude to go to a party empty handed! When I was inviting people to my sons party I told them what he likes so they got the hint.

Your invites said Birthday, right? Who goes to a child's birthday party without a present?

You need a better group of friends who can at least bring a coloring book and crayons or stickers or something. Dang.

Dd probably got excited for presents too. It's one thing if money is tough but at least get a book or something. Very rude.

Personally I don't want people getting my dd presents. I really hate clutter and she in no way needs 10 of the same barbie doll. But if we go somewhere I will bring a gift for the birthday kid unless the invite says otherwise

I would never attend a party, esp one like that, without a gift.  That's crazy!
