Engagement Stone Cut: Yay or Nay?

Ever heard of the "flanders" cut? It is like a mix between a round cut and a princess cut. It's four corners are "rounded" and it can be set in a square setting or in a "pointed-out" setting. When cut it can appear smaller than a round...so if you want a flanders cut the same size as a 1.0 carat round stone you would have to get a 1.5 carat flanders. I think I like the "pointed-out style".

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

7.5mm Flanders Asha set "points out" style in the 14kkt white gold Micropave Cathedral Ring 2 row, finger Size 5

It's a pretty cut.

It looks messy...I don't like it.

I have no opinion on it. I think it's pretty, but I'm not in to solitaires and I think it would look weird one any other type of ring. It's different at least. :)

Interesting. I can see that...

What cuts do you like? I can't decide if I 100% like the flanders or not. I know I definitely like the round cuts or the cushion cuts.

Excellent point.

I personally love solitaire settings (something I thought I would NEVER like..lol) but I agree, I don't think a flanders would look good in any other type of setting.
