As in...role models?

I've taught my daughter, and will teach my son, not to worship any man (mankind). The only One we worship is Christ. As far as role models go, we've taught her to seek guidance from people who are making wise choices.

My kids heroes are still mommy and daddy, so mine are fine. When they get older I'll be afraid.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, OP. But you're asking 'do you worry that your children are looking to the wrong people on how they should act?', right?

No, I go out of my way to help my children find appropriate role models and to explain when someone is not an appropriate person to look up to for whatever reason.

The only one they worship is God (Allah).

As for the question.. I fear for kids today. I don't have any children just yet, but there are so many 'role models' these days that just make me cringe. Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, the cast of the Jersey Shore, all the reality tv stars, etc. If you allow your kids to watch tv, you're exposing them to not only different ideas (good and bad), but different ways to interact with eachother (again, both good and bad). If you're worried about who is influencing your children, TURN THE TV OFF. Show them that you are worthy of being their role model by acting like one instead of letting tv do the job for you.

In terms of role models, I'm assuming?  No, not really.  My kids like music/movies/games and such, but I don't think they are looking to any of those people for guidance.  We talk about movies/music/books/media and I don't see any of htat as being significant influences in terms of their lives or behaviors.
