Birth mark or something to be worried about? UPDATE with picture

My son is nine months old. Ever since he was born he has had a little "birthmark" on his left side of his head. It is about the size of a dime and it is light brown. You can barely see it. Well  when he cries/get mad/ hot or tries to poop it turns bright red. My sister in law saw this and said it wasn't normal. I just figured it was.. What do you think?

He goes to the doctors next week so I will bring it up then. TIA!

Okay so I can't find a good picture where it shows, it is hard to capture. This one is from when he was about a month old and you may be able to see.. Maybe, probably not because I know what im looking for. I highlighted it in color

If you tilt your screen you can see it easier!

I'm a loud laughing, hug giving, million kisses, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, teen mother!

Just ask the ped. I'd like to assume the ped has already seen it. It's not an emergency that I would rush him in for.

It could be seen for miles.

She was perfect, from what he had seen.

Check with the ped.

I have a birth mark on my face, they call it a raspberry or strawberry or whatever. It's light brown now, but when  I cry or get upset at all it turns bright red. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't 4"x6". I was told it's normal for some birth marks to turn red when there's more blood flow.
