If you are phlebotomist can you tell me more about your job?

Likes, dislikes, pro, cons, ect, ect?

I have been thinking about this for my profession.

I'm a loud laughing, hug giving, million kisses, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, teen mother!

Bump.

I was thinking about it as well but I know I won't be able to deal with children.

I didn't like it when I worked at the hospital, but my niece loves it.

This is one of my set backs as well. I just look at it as they are getting blood drawn for a reason and if no one would do it then they wouldn't know if the babies are sick

The hardest part was kids. They wiggle and it hurts to hear crying :(

The worst part is you get paid under ten bucks an hour.

Is there a certain reason you did not like it? How long did you have to take classes for? Did you make decent money?( Not trying to be nosy, just curious

I wouldn't consider it a profession. It's a stepping stone. I did it before I went to LPN school (which is also a stepping stone) and I never found a job. You had to get 100 sticks before you could get licensed and you had to be licensed to get a job. Nobody was willing to let me stick people. All it did was give me points towards LPN school.

I see it that way also but the second I see them crying I'd probably start crying with them =/
