Call themselves "survivors" . Since "killing" isn't generally the intended outcome.

There's a different between living and being alive. Also, often killing is the intended outcome.

Considering the amount if trait victims that kill themselves, I'd call them survivors.

Have you ever been through a rape? It's not a matter of "oh my God they didn't kill me, I survived!"
It's more like... how am I supposed to live through this emotional rollercoaster. I almost didn't survive it. That's right. I said survive. My pain and shame almost swallowed me whole and 12 years later at 26 almost 27 years old I am still learning to live with it.

Oops... really just now noticed I read that COMPLETELY wrong. That person needs a boot on their rear end
