Diploma.  I know many people with G.E.D.s, and there is defnitely a difference.

I don't think it matters. They are the same when it comes to future schooling and jobs.

Educational wise, High school diploma.

Getting a job wise, both are usually the same.

A high school diploma looks better overall, but when you have your shiny college degree you tend to stop listing high school info on your resume.  Likewise, if someone has a MBA from a top school, it hardly matters anymore if they have a GED.

If you plan to never further your education, get a high school diploma.
