Why should I remove my candy jar....be a parent...

I keep a candy jar on my desk for whoever happens to wonder by and want some.  Someone came in the other day with their toddlers.  The kids asked for candy and the mom said no.  She then called later to say that I shouldn't be allowed to have a candy jar on my desk.  We rarely get walk in customers.  Especially at my desk.  When we do...they don't bring their kids because they are employees of our company and usually on work time.  This lady was off and trying to resolve an issue.  She was mad because she had to carry her kids out kicking and screaming because they wanted candy.

Does she tell the supermarket to hide their candy too? How does she handle the ice cream truck in the summer?

Because it's the big thing now....Instead of parents having to *gasp* be the parent, they want others to cater to them.
