This guy I'm talking to just told me he was a seal after high school. I'm assuming he means navy. Like no way right? I should run away?

Well, some people had to be navy seals. I live in a navy/airforce town and have not met any but he may have been.

 It is possible.  A college degree is not required.  Should be easy to prove, however.
