I was just told that it is a "shame" that I don't know how to dress up at 36.

 Agree or disagree?

and BTW.. I know how to, but I hate to. I am still trying to find something that is classified as "dressed up" and doesn't make me feel like I am in a costume and uncomfortable.

As long as you are yourself and happy then there is no shame. When you find something that speaks to you dress up wise, you will know it.

It's not a big deal , really:)

that's ridiculous. some people just don't do glam, nothing wrong at all with that.

I am 36 too. I hate some of the "older lady style" looks.

You'd think at 36 you would know what clothes make you comfortable and happy. Fuck 'em. :)

Depends on why you need to dress up and how appropriate you look.
I know PLENTY of women who use a personal stylist at 35, 45 and well over 50 because they don't know how to dress up.

fuck 'em.  I know how to, I just don't want to.  I never understood the appeal of being physically uncomfortable for other people's opinion.

You should dress for yourself and no one else. I dress how I enjoy and I don't care what others think about it

I've been told that in my 30's I need to own slacks. Fuck that, jeans for me.
