No child "needs" a pacifier.

Some kids like them, and who cares? Not my kid, not my problem.

My cousin had a pacifier until 1st grade. I didn't think anything about it at the time (we're the same age) but now that seems so insane to me.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. If your kid is walking, time to take that shit away. It's so annoying to see a toddler with one in his or her mouth. At that point, it's habit, not comfort. And the parents don't want to deal with the hassles of weaning.
