 Stupid college algebra!!!

My math teacher is offline until tomorrow. I am having issues with figuring this out and the lesson isn't helping me any so mabe someone here can explain it?

12/8<(n+8)/4<24/8

Write it in set notation using decimals. Anytime it tells me to use decimals there are decimals. I am coming up with (-2,4)

Some one please explain how to get the right answer? I can never figure the ones like this out.

-2.0 or 4.0. ? Til didn't figure it out but if there's no decimal you put it at the end right? Maybe a trick question.
