My son wants to quit football to become a cheerleader. He's AMAZING at football (plays QB) and lead his team to win the championship last year!
It's almost
Time for registration and all of a sudden wants to quit so he could cheer like his sister!!! He's 8 years old.

Absolutely. Cheerleading isn't just a girl sport, boys do it all the time. He's eight, it's not like it's the NFL. Maybe in high school he'll change his mind, for now; I'd let the boy cheer. (:

If he wanted to, sure. It's his life, why would I force him into something he doesn't want to do and have him resent me for it when its just not something worth fighting over.

Let him cheer, but also inform him that he will get picked on by some for doing so. My dd was a competitive cheerleader and most of the boy cheerleaders were gay or teased by others thinking they were.
