Would you/Do you crate your cat at home?

My cat is insane. He is "okay" during the day but likes to pounce on and bite people during the night. I came across this while looking for a cat tree/tower for him and was wondering if it would be good to lock him in just during the night?  Has anyone used one of these? I've never seen it before....

No, when he was like that I used to just close my bedroom door.

No I haven't used it and I wouldn't. My cat would just meow and howl the whole time. She has free reign of the house, I like it that way.

I see kitties in these enclosures all the time at Petco and Petsmart awaiting adoption. They would probably PREFER to roam loose as that's what cats like naturally, but I don't think just overnight would be too bad.

He might yowl the house down though which would render the entire ideal useless because you'll probably let him out just to get some peace and quiet. Fair warning.

I've never had the need to. I've had four cats. When we brought the kittens inside they had a play pen, but they were able to get in and out. It was their safe haven.

I've never crated my cat. They sleep, eat, and poop all day.

I haven't used a cage but there were times that we tried to confine her to her bedroom (yes, my cat had her own bedroom lol) overnight.

She did not take it well....

I put one of my cats in the laundry room along with the dogs at night. He has his own shelf, bed and litter box in there.
