I am glad most are happy today, but I'm not.

No this isn't about DH not getting me anything.

15 years ago I lost the best person in my life and it hurts as much today as it did then.

My grandmother was the sweetest, most wonderful woman I knew. When we messed up, we knew grandma would punish us too and it scared the crap out of us.

I go on the rest of the year like normal but with her memory on the back of my mind. This time of year I just remember more, miss harder and cry more when I think of her.

Sorry I know this isn't what people want to read or may say that 15 years is long enough but right now I don't care.

It's normal to miss those most dear to us. Grief has no timeline. However it should never steal the joy of the life you have

Time does not heal all pain, especially the loss of a loved one.
Sending hugs and warm thoughts your way!

So sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing a loved one, and there is no time limit on grieving. Your in my thoughts momma!

Normally not like this. DH is at work tonight so no celebrating here. I get teary eyed when I know my grandma would have enjoyed seeing something my dd has done or explaining to dd who grandma was.

Thank you. There are some people in my family things I shouldn't still cry around this time.
