Really???

I went to the Dollar General today to get my dh a new cooler for work. After I paid and was walking to the car, an older lady called me over and asked me to take her cart back inside the store for her. The parking lot doesn't have a cart return. I was more than happy to do it but does anyone else think it is weird that a complete stranger asks someone to do that for them?

Was she elderly or had a bunch of kids with her?

Eh, tiny bit. I think she was just trying to do the right thing by the store.

I've offered before but never had anyone ask me to.

I wouldn't think much of it.  Would probably have offered to do it for her.

No kids and maybe late 40s or early 50s?

Not really, I don't know maybe a little. Depends on how old she was, or if she had a hard time walking or something.

Coming from an elderly person, no not too weird. If someone young asked, I'd probably ignore them.

I don't think anything bad at all. I have just never been called across a parking lot to return a cart to the store when I don't even work there. It kind of made me giggle is all.

Laughs. I should probably change the op. She wasn't elderly really..probably in her 50s.
