After many failed pregnancies and a hernia repair from pregnancy...
I received the green light to excersise lightly at a month post op and just got the clear to move toward more vigorous workouts from my surgeon.
I admit, I'm very out of shape but it no longer HURTS to exercise since the hernia repair. I was worried and afraid to start, in case the hernia repair did not work but I've been loving it.
I'm a huge health nut (MS- nutrition, BS- nursing) so the weight I gained between pregnancies and not being able to work out because of the hernia was very depressing.
I'm a lot happier now that I'm able to work out and my moodiness has ceased. I'm hoping to lose about thirty pounds by the end of the year! I'm not in a huge rush but I'm committed to maintaining exercise regimens which means no more babies:( I'm a little bummed because we both wanted one more but my health is more important than selfish wants.
Either way, we ran four miles today and biked another eight... Tomorrow we are skiing.
I'm looking forward to the changes:)
