Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

oh snap i took my son to a non kid friendly restaurant! EDIT

just thought it was funny because I read a few posts today about kids in non kid restaurants. my husband took me out to dinner for Valentine's day last night. my mom was going to watch my son but MY MOM had a tantrum before we left so we took him with us. when we got there we found out it was not really a kid friendly place they had high chairs that's it. but he was so good it even shocked me he whispered almost the whole time . he ate with his fork and barely made a mess at all just a little rice on the floor which I picked up. our waitress loved him he kept waving to her saying hey every time she came by. he was a doll so we took him for frozen yogurt

edit my mom was the one throwing a tantrum she is going through THE CHANGE OF LIFE

Sorry
*shrugs*

Quoting notjustamomee: That's how I read it too! *shrugs*

Quoting Anonymous: I read it as the mom had a tantrum. Lol!

Quoting Anonymous: So basically you rewarded your kid for throwing a temper tantrum. Great job.

My daughter is 4 and she has been to plenty of non kid friendly restaurants. She has always behaved. But if she ever behaved badly, she would immediately be removed and she knows she would not be going to any restaurants for a long time.

I'm the exact same way lol

Quoting TheDrsRose: I feel like the only person on the planet not bothered by kids crying or screaming or whatever else. I just don't get the big deal I guess?

lol, they didn't have water?  Different tastes I guess-- my kids were brought up eating curry and arrabiata.  I don't think we've ever had a problem ordering for them at a restaurant!  They're vacuums.

Quoting TattooLoveShow: no drinks or food that is for a child luckily I brought him a drink and he likes steamed dumpings the only thing not spicy they had

Quoting RobinBright: If they have high chairs, what else do you need?

Keep an open mind--
but not so open that your brain falls out.

I have no problems with kids in adult restaurants. It's when they start screaming and crying, and running around pestering others trying to enjoy their meal that I get annoyed.

No it is your road that is long and difficult because you do not read the post carefully before responding.

Quoting lulalacroix:

I'm happy he behaved, but you gave in when he threw a tantrum?  You are in for a long and difficult road if this is how you parent.
