damn water retention

It was DHs birthday yesterday, we went out to dinner and when we got home I made martinis.

Also I have no idea how to make a martini so if anyone wants to throw me a recipe I would love to use it in future.

My martinis just consisted of different juices and tequila. I also had salt around the rims of the glasses.

I am pregnant so I didnt have alcohol in mine. I did however have the salt around the rim. It tasted sooo good with the sweet juice I didnt think too much about it.

This morning I woke up and my wedding ring was digging into me.. :(

Had to take it off.

As soon as I got up I did some zumba and I have been drinking water all day. Lets hope I can flush this salt out of my system.

I hated being bloated when I was pregnant. I found a little lemon in water or tea was helpful.

How long have you been doing zumba?

I havent done it in ages actually. Do you think lime juice would do the same thing?

It felt so good to do it today and sweat! Walking on a treadmill or riding a bike just doesnt make me sweat like zumba.

I just want my ring to fit again. I am 7 months pregnant now.

Starlight martini:

1 ounce vodka

1/2 ounce blue curacao

Goldshlager

Combine ice, vodka & curacao in shaker. Shake & strain. Float Goldshlager. It will look like a starry night.

Lime? I don't know. I know lemon is a diuretic, but I am not sure about lime. I'm sure somebody here knows.

It was a drink special at a restaurant I worked in while in college. It's a beautiful drink, very romantic.

I only had fluid retention with my son. With my daughter the sodium would only effect my blood pressure temporarily. I would always warn my midwife during an appointment if I'd had ANY fast food within the last 24 hrs, especially 3hrs. lol

Good luck, and congrats. You're getting close!
