Should basic CPR and first aid be a requirement? For parents? For people in general?

I think it should be, and it should be something you are required to do in order to get a drivers license. Then you get an endorsement on your DL that says you are CPR/basic first aid certified. It would save so many lives if everyone knew it.

while it is a good idea of course to know  CPR I am tired of all these rules and regulations. So no, I am not for this.

Absolutely not. I'm already sick of government requirements.

I think having it tacked on to a high school course (maybe health class?) would be a good idea.

I'm tired of rules and regulations too, just as much as the next person. I just can't help thinking of how many lives could have been saved if it had been made a requirement years ago.

Yes. It would be a good requirement for a high school diploma.

I took CPR/basic first aid in high school. I went to votech and was taking a health occupations class. It was a requirement for clinicals.
