Do you have student loans? How much?

I have $50,000 in student loans and pay $600/month. Its ridiculous. That's a car payment. And I'm not even working in my field.

How much do you pay? Would you take out loans if you had to do it over? I wouldn't.

Just curious!!!

Nope, my husband and I paid for school as we were attending. I can't imagine having student loan debt.

I don't have student loans but dh does. It's at least $500 a month and it's awful, our finances are really tight. He doesn't work in his field either.

Between DH & I we pay $500/month....But we wouldn't have our jobs if we hadn't gone to college, and we wouldn't have gone to college without the loans.  So there really was no choice.

Between hub and I would be over 2000 a month-but defered because that would be a month's paycheck for one of us, cant do that with bills and kids- he is working in his degree, I had in the past but last 4yrs I havent been but have enjoyed what I have been doing

That's not always possible. I couldn't have worked enough to cover it, and my husband wasn't allowed to work during school or he would have been kicked out.

I can't imagine not completing my education because I tried paying for it up front.
