40 for my son 50 for my daughter.

Our son is 4 now, so we haven't given it much thought. 16 sounds good though.

It really depends on the level of maturity I see from them. As a general thought I would say 16, but I wouldnt have a problem with a boy coming over to my house to have dinner/watch a movie/do homework at 14, but never going out...only at home where I can watch them. At 16 I would say they can go to the movies, go out to eat, stuff like that. Im sure my husband would say they cant date until 30...lol.
