DD's best friend had an abortion. Would you tell her mom?

My dd and her best friend are seniors. They're 18. Something has seemed off with her lately so when she was in the shower after school I Iooked at her texts. I found out that she went with her best friend for her to get an abortion almost 2 weeks ago.

My husband and I are very pro-life. We thought she shared our views and I'm devastated she'd take part in something we raised her to know is wrong. She won't talk to me and my husband about it because she said it's "none of our business". My husband lost it when she said that and sent her to her room.

Would you call her best friend's mom and let her know? We're not very close at all so I don't know if it's my place, but at the same time I'd want to know if it was my daughter.

No I would not tell the friends parents. AT ALL. Your DD was supporting her friend in a time of need. Don't punish her or make her seem wrong for that.

The girl is 18. Just because she made a decision you don't agree with doesn't make it your business. If you want to punish your daughter for going with her, I find that incredibly stupid, but, that's your right as a parent. As far as the other girl goes, stay out of it. It's not any of your business.

im sorry but it is none of your business your daughter supported her friend regardless of her views on it - and for you to be angry for your child sticking by someone and helping them when they are down is ridiculous!

They're adults. Mind your own damn business.

By the way your daughter is an adult too. She can have her very own separate views then you, and should have at least some bit of privacy. I don't find it shocking at all she won't talk to you.

Stay out of it.

Your daughter is right, it is none of your business.

Your daughter supported a friend in need, be proud!
