I get wanting to brag about your kid...but don't lie

This chick on my facebook posted a video of her almost 3 year old "reading".  It's one of those picture books, one picture per page and the word at the top.  Now don't get me wrong, the girl is adorable and I enjoyed the video, super cute little elf voice.
But she isn't reading.  The mom is like (in comments) "she only learned her abc's afew months ago, she's learning to read so quickly!" "just saying my kids a genius, she can read 10 words and she's not even 3!"
Too bad when she gets to "cat" she says "kitty"...NOT READING

Why try to play it off as something it's not?  It's dumb.

I agree, every child is great and parents who lie need to understand that. No child needs parents to lie about them.

I saw another video of the girl riding a tricycle, I thought that was pretty impressive.  My son is about 2.5 and can't do that.  Why not just show what she truly can do, and not make shit up lol?

Nah, I've known her since high school. She was really trying to convince her family (not that they questioned it lol)

Some parents are just obsessed with being the best...even if it means looking like an idiot.
