are you independent or do you depend on people?

do you think is good to be super independent of yourself or with your partner or depend on your  friends or family for help when you need it? yes  no maybe??

so seeing my family and DH"s  makes me think are we the only weirdos that are really independent ?  my  sil just moved to the same city as us just 3 days ago, she came with her mother and they already found a house to live in and they are not gonna have to pay any bills because the family is gonna help them in everything (im pretty sure they are also gonna help them with a car too).  MY SIL has four kids and its in perfect health to work but its not going to work, instead FIL advice them to apply for welfare and with the money she gets for her children from child  support and social security from her 2 other kids shes not gonna need to work/.

i also have other in laws that each time they don't have money and are broke they have to be asking my mother in law  or relatives  for money, in fact there's 1 who's married and has 4 kids and expecting another child and yet they don't have their own house, no car no nothing just because of bad choices.        the heck i cant believe how moving to this state it took me 5 years me and DH to finally be in a stable place with our kids with out no ones help and by that means NOBODY  NO FAMILY NO FRIENDS NOT NO ONE.

I CANT BELIEVE HOW PEOPLE CAN HAVE NO SHAME IN ASKING EVERYONE FOR HELP IN EVERY SINGLE SHIT  AND BAMMM THEY GET EVERYTHING FAST IN THE PALM OF THEIR HANDS.

MY QUESTION IS ARE YOU REALLY INDEPENDENT? OR DO YOU DEPEND ON PEOPLE TO HELP YOU WHEN EVER YOU NEED HELP OR SOMETHING ELSE????? AND IF YOU DO PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY???

For the most part we are independent, but we did ask to borrow money to hire an attorney, however we are paying that money back.  We needed the attorney for a court case.

We're independent, but of faced a genuine problem I have no trouble asking for my parents help. Like last summer, I was extremely ill and hospitalized for a week. Unfortunately, DH was deployed. My parents jumped in to help. They paid for DS to be escorted by plane to their town and looked after him until DH got home.

I am completely dependent on my husband, I don't have to be, but I am, that's the way he likes it......I should add, he is completely independent of assistance from anyone.

We are independent because my husband is smart with money and works hard.

No I'm not independent. My husband makes a good living but we receive a good hunk of money from my parents (inheriteace) monthly that we will receive for the rest of our lives.

yea thats not bad because you both are married and are a team... but im mostly talking about asking  family or friends for help whenever they need help with everything from money, doing favors, babysitting ect ect..

I'm pretty independent. I'd rather depend on someone else to clean and cook though lol.

We're independent, as a matter of fact, we financially help my mother, and my sister, and take care of my sister's two children.....

I'm gathering you're referring to financially independent and yes, we are independent.

Actually, we're pretty independent in every aspect.  We've asked my mom to watch the kids from time-to-time, but for the most part, we do things ourselves.
