I'm a sahm. I saved estimated 5000 a month being a sahm. Thats my monetary contribution to my family. How.
1. Extreme coupon. 20 hrs a week. Grocery nearly 50 bucks a month. Personals free. Cleaning products free.
2. Army reserve. Health insurance free. My drill pays our monthly insurance cost.
3. Donate. A run a small non profit. Donating food to local teen group homes. Gives us a 800 tax credit each year.
4. No DAYCARE. Saves 3000 a month for us.
5. No hair or nail salon. Use coupons to get free nail polish and hair products.

The saying goes the other way around, a penny saved is a penny earned.

Yeah don't say "extreme coupon" it's an insult to those of us who do it right.

Does that money actually go into your bank account? Otherwise, no it's not real contribution/savings/earnings.

You don't have to put out $3000/month in daycare. That's great, but you aren't EARNING that, you simply aren't putting it out.

Cool. I just play video games with my son. I save nothing. But we have a good time so it's ok :)

Rock on!

What? How do you know I'm doing it wrong. I only pay taxes when I do it. Donate and teach coupon classes. Please tell what am I doing wrong?

I'm not putting it out because we don't spend money on it. That bill dosent exist for us. Because I do that work myself. Its keeping 3000 in our pocket. Where I live that's average for two under two.
