I got a speeding ticket. First ever. 21 years of driving and not ever even a warning. Cop stepped into the middle often road and flagged me over. Said I was doing 45 in a 30. Might have been going over 30. But didn't think I was doing 45 because I had just left the red light. I had a sick kid at home and my babysitter had called that she had an emergency and had to leave. So my 11 year old was home alone and puking. So yes I was in a bit of a hurry. But I thought they gave out warnings.

So should I just do defensive driving or go to court.

Should have flipped the cop off and kept driving.

Your babysitter just upped and left your child alone puking.

I found tickets aren't worth fighting.  I'd go defensive driving just to get it over with.

They dont have to give a warning. You can try to fight it, but i probably wouldn't

I get that. Just thought they did. Freaking 21 years of driving and never so much as a parking ticket.

Yeah. Her kid had a seizure at school. I work five minutes away. We actually passed each other. But I didn't plan on getting pulled over.

I would do defensive driving. Sometimes it's more work to go fight a ticket than it is to just take the class. Sorry, Mama :(
