Do you agree?

Is it safer to hire a man? 

He was talking about how women are more likely to quit or take time off because of pregnancy and stuff.

In general no gender does not matter. For some professions being a certain gender could be better. That goes both ways though.

they require less off time(from my experience). women usually take on the role as primary caretaker of the children and need time off to tend to their motherly duties. That and maternity leave.

On average, our female employees are off more often than male for parenting reasons.

I understand what he is saying from an Employers point of view, not that I think it's right but it is what it is.
