No. I'm almost 30 and have never been married, but it doesn't mean I'm alone.

Hell no!  In fact I think anyone who gets married younger than that as either boring or settling (in their lives, not their partners).  There's so much to do in life when you're single.  Why get married before you have to?  I realize that if you meet the right person then blah blah blah, but really!  I waited UNTIL I was 30 before I even started looking for a long term relationship or thinking about getting married.  In the meantime I graduated from college, lived and worked in Europe for a year, got a mortgage on a home, and generally had a blast on my own.  I'm not saying that if someone got married before then that they made the wrong choice.  But it certain isn't the better choice.  It's not even better than if someone decides not to get married at all.  But to define a woman based on her marital status is just...well, ignorant.  You only have one life.  Why choose to live it based on the dictates of society rather than living a full, complete life on your own terms?  Even though I'm very happily married, my marital status doesn't define me.  I feel very very sorry for the (as of now) 42% of women who think otherwise.
