At least that's what he thinks! He turns 11 on Friday.

I've been separated from my husband for a year now and finances are tight. I did have money set aside for his birthday though. Until the brakes went completely out on my car :(

So I told him all I could do was dinner and a movie and small gifts. I can't even afford to invite his friends. And this is all true.

The one thing he wants is to take the day off school and I won't let him. He doesn't understand.

What he doesn't know is that his grandparents are flying us all to Disney for six days! His first airplane ride and trip to Disney! And then an extra day to go to the ocean, which he's never seen!

He'll miss 3 days of school, which is why he can't miss on his birthday. He thinks it's because I want him to have perfect attendance.

He doesn't realize this is going to be the best birthday ever!

Hope you all have a fantastic and awesome time!

He will find out on his birthday but we're not flying out til the 28th.
So he will have two weeks to look forward to it!

He'll still have to do the work. But a once in a lifetime experience is more valuable than sitting in a classroom.

I'm actually more concerned that he will miss a week of piano practice!
