I have to cancel a play date, would you?

My dd has a friend coming over for a play date on Wednesday, a friend from kindergarten. The mom is coming as well. Sounds like fun, eh!!!

Here's the catch...

I JUST found out that the little girls mom is the owner of the grocery store in town, the very grocery store, I demanded I speak with the owner.

I wasn't happy, the store has a leak in the roof, it has been like this for the past year. On Saturday I was in to pick up diapers and the roof was of course leaking! Once again NO WET FLOOR sign. The last 2 times I have been in and the roof was leaking, I brought the lack of proper signage to the manager. Clearly nothing is being done and I had HAD enough!

**I need to go into this store for certain items and diapers are cheapest at this store.

I would keep the playdate. You may be about to meet someone who could be a great friend. You never know.

The manager may not have even told the owner. Nothing wrong with talking over if with her.

No, my child should not be effected by my personal problems. Her friend has nothing to do with some grocery store. That's just sad for your child and that little girl.

Keep it, don't talk about her job.

So did you talk to her about her store yet or just tell them you wanted to?

Maybe the manager never told her?
