Well, I guess it is time to get my dd a new bed.

Up until tonight, I have been able to put her to bed in her crib, and leave the room, without worrying about her safety.

 She just came out of her room! She climbed out of her crib for the first time tonight.

<sigh>

Oh boy.

One of those milestones that you love to hate. :)

At least she climbed out instead of falling out. Mine started by falling out.

Put a screen on the top to prevent her from getting out.

If she is still young, you might be able to teach her to stay in the crib, or you could put a mat on the floor by the crib in case she climbs out, so she won't get hurt.

But if she's close to 2, or older than 2, I'd just get the toddler bed, or even a regular twin or full size bed.

She's 2. I haven't been too unhappy that it hadn't happened yet... Now...oh boy, there is going to be no stopping her! LOL

My dd just started falling out and screaming right before she turned 2. The next day I took the side off the crib. She wouldn't stay in it and slept on the floor for 6 months.

 LOL my son started that at 11 months, cried like you wouldn't believe when I bought him a "big boys" bed an had to set his crib back up :)

I had to switch my dd because she somehow wedged her leg between the slats. We almost had to break the bed to get her out and she had bruises on her thigh:(
She got a toddler bed the next day.

Yeah, no kidding! I am glad she didn't fall, but I am not sure how I feel about little miss sneaky! LOL
