It's ridiculous for a 6 year old to be in a 5 pt harness

That's what my mom told my dd yesterday. So now my dd wants a booster seat without a harness. I'm so sick of my mom undermining my parenting decisions. She said she has to roll her eyes at the teachers that get my dd from the car in the mornings at school, and that she's going to get a booster seat for her in her car.

She's doing it to be a vindictive a hole. She has to take my dd to school in the mornings when I am working, because I have to be at work at 6...so she knows I can't lash out at her. I guess she's on a power trip? My dd being in a harness is no hassle whatsoever for her. My dd can buckle and unbuckle herself. Ugh.

Depending on her size, a booster may be just fine.

My DS is in a booster with a normal belt. Don't even think he would fit anything else.

That being said, your kid your rules, so a chat with her May be needed.

No need for 5 point harness! She's perfectly fine in a booster seat. Time to cut the cord mama!

Your kid, your rules.
Tell your mom to stop undermining you. Find a morning babysitter and tell her that until she is ready to accept your parenting choices she won't get to spend quality time with your child.

My almost 5 year old is still in a five pt harness. If you're happy, who cares?

Don't let her get to you! You're doing your best. Tell her she needs to respect your rules.

I happen to agree with her, but as someone who is NOT the parent, she should have kept her mouth shut.
