I pick up after everyone, that does not make me a maid. I don't feel disrespected. I feel appreciated.

No, she should be with a man who can pick up after himself.  Where do these women FIND these slobs of men?

She shouldn't have too, no. I do. That's my choice. I'm not a maid though, I'm just very OCD and prefer to have a very clean home, I don't let things sit. I figure since I'm the one who wants it that way, I should be he one to do it.

Depends on what they agree on.

Dh is a neat freak so I don't have that issue.

My husband works a lot too - 100+ hours a week.   Always has, nature of the business.  Yet he is an ADULT and puts his clothes in the hamper, dishes in the kitchen, throws away his garbage. Yes, I do ALL the household stuff - but he isn't a slob.

No.

When my kids got old enough, they picked up after themselves. And my husband has always picked up after himself. He puts his clothes in the basket, we dont eat in the living room anyway, so there's never dishes in there, he hangs his towel up, etc.  He's a pretty tidy guy.

Being a sahm doesnt mean being everyone's servant.

My dh is pretty good about picking up after himself so I don't really have to worry about that.
