my son turned 6 saturday, we had adult beverages... but that's the way my family is...

eta.. we had 50+ people, 75 percent were of age, almost entirely family.

eta 2: apparently that makes us trashy...how is my son's birthday different from memorial day, of fourth of july... ? it's not like everyone is tanked at 2pm when his party starts.. our get togethers... well they have no set end time.. always 2 until ?...

like i could stop of bunch of micks and finns from drinking... psh...

I don't think it should be there for a child's birthday party.

But another get together where children happen to be present, it's fine.

Eh I'm indifferent. I probably would not do it, but I don't automatically think someone is a terrible, trashy person if they do.

Very unclassy to get drunk at a kid's party, though.

can children drink beer? no? then maybe it shouldn't be at a children's party.
