So I just saw this post on MSN and it made me curious...who on here would buy a bra for your little girl? There made to target 5 year olds and up. They look like sports bras. I get the concept behind it that it's like a dress up thing but is it appropriate? I know my girly girl would like something like this but I don't know if I would buy it.

I could see getting her one if she was developing early. Imo it's a money making scheme though.

I don't see what the deal is. Bras are not meant to be a sexy thing. Most little girls and wait till they can wear them. However once they have to- they quickly regret ever wanting them in the first place. lol

Not for a 5 year old.  Maybe an undershirt if they needed it but I haven't met any 5 year olds irl that needed either one.  I am of the mindset that girls needs to be little girls for a long as they can.  I don't like all the clothes and such trying to rush them into adulthood.

No.

but I do see some 6-7yo that need one. Well what they really need is a diet, but you can't tell a parent that.

No too young and would serve no purpose.

Maybe. Especially considering that a lot of the dressier clothes I see for little girls are thin, sheer, and a weird texture. My 18 month old wears camis under some things because of this...lol.
