My 16 year old DD got married...

Her and her husband have been together for 6 months. She has told me they are soul mates and they are going to be together forever. She asked me to sign for her to get married.... I said no of course

I talked to her dad about it and he laughed and said he wouldn't do it either...well apparently he changed his mind. I found out when she changed her Facebook status to married. I thought it was just a joke thing until she started post pictures of them at the court house

I called my ex and he said that he felt she was old enough to know what she wanted in life and that he was happy for her

I am so livid I don't even know what to do. Now that she is married I have no custody she is now legally an adult. I feel I am in some sick dream.

That's terrible. Shame on her father.

If my child wanted married at 16, I would let them. I dont see the big issue.

Yeah sorry but that is just stupid (at least in my DDs case).

She has no job...she is still in high school and they have to live with parents. You shouldn't get married of you can't support yourself as a couple
