If someone posted your child's picture

Let's say your child attends the party of a school friend at the local skating rink. You have met the parents and feel comfortable leaving your child in their care for a couple of hours.

Later that night your sibling calls and tells you they just saw the cutest pictures of your child on Facebook. She is FB friends with the birthday kid's mom. There is a group photo of all the kids eating cake at the table, a few shots of your child skating with the birthday boy, a picture of the birthday boy and your child posing with the gift that you bought and a close up of your child and the birthday boy making funny faces for the camera.

Your child isn't tagged in the photos, but the location of the party is tagged.

You have several mutual friends with this person, but you are not facebook friends with them.

Would this upset you?

Yes. I've had this happen before, similar situation, kid's birthday party. Except I'm not even on FB. One of the other mom's just mentioned having seen the cutest pic of my DD on FB.

In retrospect I should have called the woman and had her remove it as it did bother me a lot. It just felt very invasive

I'm sure my kids' photos have been seen by tons of people. Their Godfather is constantly putting images of them on Facebook, so do their aunts. DH and I have entire albums dedicated to images of the kids. I really don't fear anything in relation to this topic.
