Dh has a secretary (that is fairly attractive) and she got drunk one night and kissed him.

I told him that he should fire her and HE says that he just gave her a warning that if that instance ever happened again that he would let her go but that she could keep her job.

We got into an argument and he's blaming me because she's attractive and I told him that it doesn't matter if his secretary is super pretty or unnattractive that if any secretary he hires kisses him that he should fire her. He doesn't think that he should ruin a young girls career dreams cause of a stupid mistake in judgement on her part.

What do you think? Would you want your husband to fire his secretary if she kissed him?

EDIT:

They were on work property but it wasn't work hours.

They were drinking to celebrate a client.

He wasn't drunk, she was, he drove her home and walked her to her door and that's where she kissed him.

He says he pushed her away and didn't kiss her back.

He thinks I'm making a big deal about this because she's super attractive but I told him that I would want him to fire her even if she wasnt attractive.

Why does it matter where they were? What matters is that she kissed him.

Yes I would want him to. But there are other factors. Like where was this. Also is she sorry and embarrassed about it?

If I think ONLY of work things I can see is POV. When I bring a marriage into the picture I feel like he should have fired her. So that's my conflict, should he be leaving his wife out of his work life or do you belong there in this instance?

Like previous posters asked: where & why were they out drinking together and yes that's crossing a line.

Unless you are management for the company, you have no business interfering with HR matters pertaining to firing people. If it bothers you that much, make him quit.
