I left my dd alone at school while I slept

I should get an award for the worlds worst mom :-/

My dd's school had early dismissal due to weather today. They released them at 12:00. They called me 3 times, and I slept through it because my phone was on vibrate. They ended up calling my mom to go and get her.

Oh well, life happens. Your kid wasn't abandoned and the school had back up.

It happens. I put my phone on silent overnight, but if I worked nights, and then slept while my kids were at school, I'd keep my phone on. Just take this as a lesson learned. No worries. :-)

Even though I've worked rotating shifts for the last 4 years, my family/friends just don't get my schedule. They'll call or text me throughout the day. That's why I had it silenced...guess I won't do that anymore

As long as your mom is a willing backup, I don't think it's a big deal!

Not a bad mom, you worked and fell asleep when your kid went to school. And they had a backup person.
